It is a great way to start out but as I've posted before, the controller that probably works fine with the smaller panels will over heat with the 160 in bright sunlight. I, too, bought a 20A MPPT controller (Rich Solar) which would be a good idea at some point. **Q: I have a 500 watt power station (needs 18v) and a pecron e1000 (needs 36v). Can I buy/connect 2 panels, what do I need?** A: Yes you can as long as you dont exceed the maximum voltage allowed by your power station.
