Previous tenants smoked in the house.** A: That is the main reason I purchased this. I have two different air purifiers and this one works the best. I leave it on setting 2 all day. If when I return I smell the smoke as soon as I enter the building, I know I need it on high, and within 15 min there is a huge difference. I previously had it in bathroom, but found it best in doorway between kitchen/living rm, above the rooms downstairs neighbor sits and smokes in all day(annoying)!
