Works well and keeps my knives sharp ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty decent and cheap but needs work *by T***N on June 16, 2023* Totally solid as a honing steel BUT it needs to be polished to remove grabby burrs in the grooves. Failing to do this will cause your knife edge to be ripped right off. Good thing this is easy to fix! To polish off burrs, coat the steel with valve grinding compound ($4 at any auto parts store) or even toothpaste then take a shop towel and rub it in from end to end for about 3-5 minutes. Wash with hot soapy water to remove the grit and oil and wipe clean with a rag or paper towel. Done!
