We didn't have one for our first one and decided to get one for our second and it has saved us so many times especially with her colic and reflux at night helped soothe her to sleep. Works great for the car as well! The only thing is sometimes it's hard to see the buttons. I wish they made the buttons a little more easy to find. It's light weight and the battery lasts a long time I've only had to charge it once so far for the last 2 weeks. The light has 3 different settings.
