I used the black one, I guess that they are the same. I used on a piece of pork, Boston but, and it worked great on the muscles. The tenderizer resulted a bit weak when I used over the tendons, the handle was tending to split. The blade are good and the spring is good, the handle is the weak part. Overall, I did not return, an I will continue using it, I just need to be careful on the what meet to use it.
