Whole, crushed? Thanks.** A: Personally, I’ve been tearing them open to release the seeds and then tearing the skins into pieces. They aren’t dry enough to be very brittle so it’s more tearing them than crushing. **Q: Can these be reconstituted by soaking?** A: Yes they needto be used in a moist recipe. I don't usually soak them but rather at them to a pot of hot liquid.
