I cannot buy a new one. Would this product be the best one for sealing cracks?** A: If the intake boot is for air, it would probably work. This product is gas resistant but not completely gas proof. I used it on a gas can gasket and it gradually deteriorated after a few months of being constantly exposed to gas fumes. **Q: Is this stuff too permanent for pcv valve thread seal?** A: I believe so **Q: Will this work on a 1inch cut on a cv axle boot?** A: NO, not by it self.
