I recently got a small burn on my inner arm when it touched a cookie sheet that came right out from the oven. I wanted to decrease the redness. It's only been a few days so no improvement yet, I know it may take weeks or months. I cut a small piece and placed it over the scar. It sticks right away and it hasn't peeled or lifted at the corners. The color of the tape is darker than my skin tone. It's similar to a standard band-aid color but sticks so much better. Another reason I wanted to try this was to use it for protection, I didn't want the area to get rubbed by accident and this is more flexible than a band-aid. It doesn't pull or tug on my skin when I move my arm and it doesn't bunch up. I don't feel like anything is there. The tape is semi transparent, I can see the burn mark through it. I've read good things and promising results from using silicone scar tape. So far I have no complaints. It comes in a lidded container, I'm not sure how air tight it is like they say but it's better than just a paper box like other brands I've seen.
