My brother paid twice that much for his JBL, and this speaker is very close to the same quality. Super easy to use, even for this old lady; I LOVE that there is a dedicated volume button that doesn't also control the tracking, and I like that I can utilize an EQ function without involving my phone. The Bluetooth 5.0 allows me to take the speaker thru my apartment---approximately 40 feet, thru 2 doorways, with one door closed---it doesn't skip a beat. I really don't know how much farther I could take it... What I have been worried about, is how to keep it from hitting the floor while playing, given my rambunctious cat---I saw nothing saying this speaker is shock-resistant, and so one good push from kitty and it could be all over...
