Higher quality materials and build than I expected. Versatile look with collar up or down. *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2017* QUALITY:The construction and material is much higher quality than I expected at this price for this much fabric with all functional buttons. Good black color. Feels like it will really hold up well to actual use. While only a single layer, so there is no lining, the seams feel strong. Thick material, and good lines. Just not meant to be seen wide open with the inside exposed.SIZE:I bought an XL because the price and shipping time was better than the L. I am 6'0" tall, atheletic build 175-178 Lbs consistently. I am glad I went with the XL. I have about a 42in chest and the XL is not form fitting. While I would probably like a more form fitting size that a large would probably have, the sleeves were perfect for me with the XL. The Large probably would have worked as well, but with shorter sleeves. Though if you arms are down most of the time, slightly shorter would have been nice to show more shirt sleeve.Overall the XL works great for me. See photo(s) that I will attach. And probably could have gotten away with a Large.COMMENTS:VEST: The built in vest is strong material and nice snap buttons. Good style cut for the top and bottom. Since I wanted a more form fitting vest without going down in size on the jacket, I just pinned back the built in vest and wore a form fitting vest that I already had.COLLAR: The color is more colonial/gothic than dressy. Folded up you have a very pirate/gothic look and folded down looks a little more dressy and colonial.TAILS: At 6' with the XL, the Tails were longer than I originally wanted. But worked. Just be careful when knelling as you can end up catching the tails when standing back up. If you are shorter, just be aware that you may want to consider shortening the tails depending on looks and functional use.POCKETS: External pockets are functional, but small with rounded interior. No internal pockets which I think is really odd. Though it is only a single layer so any internal pockets would be floating pouches like the external pockets are.CARE: Machine wash COLD, and line dry only. I plan on washing this in my washing machine, but I haven't washed it yet to see how color fast it is and how wrinkled it gets in the dryer with no heat before line drying. Or whether it shrinks at all in the process.Overall I really like this jacket for the price and quality at that price. It was quite thick and kept him warm in frigid temperatures that night as the party was outdoors. The tailcoat is quite long which is perfect for my husband as he is 6' 3''. Overall quality is phenomenal! There is not much stretch with the jacket which was not a problem for my husband. However, it was VERY SMALL! I ordered an XL for my husband, who is usually a large. He could barely get it on, the sleeves were a good 8" too short and he couldn't move. I made sure to take measurements before ordering and went by the size chart provided but it was really small. I had to return it and order a different product because they were out of stock on all other sizes. I really liked the jacket though.
