Press is metal however. They work the same, just a matter of looks. **Q: Is it made by glass?** A: The Pitcher is made of Borosilicate Glass. The Brazil 12 Cup (1.5 Liter ) [51fl.oz] is made in Portugal. **Q: Last I checked, 4 cups is 32 oz. Why does it say this is an 8 cup (34 oz) coffee maker?** A: Hi! On the description is written 34 ounces (8 cup). Regards, House 2 Home **Q: I have since coffee grind on the outside glass stuck between the glass and bottom part: how to clean without breaking the glass?** A: You *can* get these apart to clean, but be very careful. The most obvious way is to lift the top of the handle to "unhook" it. That's not the easiest way, but if you have the strength it's the safest. I find it easier to remove the base by turning upside down. Looking at the bottom you want to push the beaker with your thumbs while holding the plastic base with your finger tips. The plastic will be more flexible if you soak it in hot soapy water. The dish soap in the hot water will help it slide out. It may pop out suddenly and is very breakable. I always re-assemble base 1st, then snap the handle over the edge of the beaker. (I've had a few of these. Some fit quite tightly others are fairly easy to remove.) ## Frequently Bought Together - Bodum 34oz Brazil French Press Coffee Maker, High-Heat Borosilicate Glass, Black - Made in Portugal - Bodum Bistro Electric Blade Coffee Grinder, Black - Bodum 34oz Bistro Electric Water Kettle For Coffee & Tea, BPA-Free Plastic, Rapid-Boil, Auto Shut-Off, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/3499855-34oz-brazil-french-press-coffee-maker-high-heat-borosilicate-glass](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/3499855-34oz-brazil-french-press-coffee-maker-high-heat-borosilicate-glass) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
