I have a 2nd gen frontier and it has amber turn signals and didn't want a red led bar blinking with the amber so got this one recently. I hooked it up, tested all but the reverse lights and discovered the amber lights act as the brake lights. Not good... Turning on my head lamps / daytime - the bar lit red so this seems to be correct? I've uploaded a photo of the 4 plug wiring diagram. The product I received, the amber lights acting as brake lights seem to be correct but I was hoping the product had some kind of switch to detect both signals to trigger the red led's but then realized that would conflict with having the hazard lights on so it makes sense it wouldn't be designed that way. The illustration in the manual shows the pin next to the ground as the "Brake Lamp." but it is not - it's simply the tail light (running lights) which is the reason they turn on when I turn my lights on.The current design the lights will conflict with each other. Since the harness is designed to have both turn signals to act as a brake so it might confuse the driver behind you having amber lighting up rather than red. The only way for this product to work as one would intend it to work, is by hardwiring it. The wiring digram and the diagram on the manual don't seem to match or I have a defective item.I will have to hardwire this and will update my review.# Update 7/26/2017I just got done hardwiring the wires and it's working much better. I had to extend the wire for the left turn signal since I wired everything to the right lamp and just the turn for the left. Connected the brown ground wire to a nut and bolt to an existing hole.Results:- Red when brakes applied not as many as the amber leds though- Amber turn signals - very bright - more leds than the rest- White reverse - same amount of leds as the red- Hazard lights - both amber turn signals- Red (brakes on) light up with hazards, reverse, and turn- Daytime running - noneI'm very happy with the results. Another had to hard wire and inspired me to do it as well rather than sending back a good product. It's the review with the video. It just takes more time and effort. I ordered some really nice wire taps since the regular cheap ones seem to never splice into the wire by hand squeezing them. This is the item:  Hilitchi 140pcs 22-16 / 16-14 / 12-10 Gauge Quick Splice  . Those things are awesome since you can unplug it easily if needing to replace the leds later on. I've bumped up the rating from 3 stars to 5 since I really like the results and have not been able to find other led bars that have all red, amber, and white. It's great for the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Make your Truck More Visable! *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on November 30, 2016* The media could not be loaded.  I am a big fan of LED lighting and when it comes to my truck , I have started the process of converting the lights on it to LED as well. When I came across the Tailgate light bar I had to get it.The 60 inch strip was just perfect fit for my Chevy tailgate going edge to edge. I had to use a converter for the trailer receptacle so it would be converted to a 4 pin. The problem with that is that the 4 pin connector on the LED Strip didn't work correctly with my adapter which was ok because I ended up cutting the connector off and just making hardwire connections into my tail light assembly. I did have to run a single wire from my right turn light over to where I had all the wires going to the left.The color coding of the wires them self is correct on the directions, but the 4 pin plug just wouldn't work for my Chevy Truck. If you don't mind wiring this up yourself you will save yourself some money, otherwise take it to have it installed.Over all I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone who wants to make their vehicle even more visible. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cool and fun lights *by H***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 1, 2016* These came quickly. Got them for my friend's truck.here's what he told me..The instructions were actually pretty easy. Though the process is fairly time consuming. It's a bit of a challenge to align these LEDs. The wiring is straightforward. I can't speak about its durability as I don't have them for too long as of now but so far it looks nice.They make vehicle look a lot better and much easier to spot at night. Also, the fact that you have to drill is not so good for me. It comes with all the accessories.
