The soap had to possess numerous qualities, like being vegan, not tested on animals, made with organic fair trade ingredients as well as lather, clean and rinse well and be handmade in the USA by artisans of like mind. I know that seems a bit much to expect from a humble bar of soap... but have you ever researched the ingredients in soap or even the practices of the companies that manufacture it?
