Review: Good stuff - Well written, but like most technical books, you don't wanna just sit down and read it. This book has a fair amount of examples and describes ideas well. Beware: The Quartus II software is Windows only. I understand the industry is comprised almost wholly of Windows PC's, but a lot of students now own Mac's (Boot Camp is one good options here, there are also emulators). Also I have been told by engineers that Altera makes Quartus that works on Linux too.
Review: good - well, I did not use this material as a text book but for the reference of some examination. It is well organized and easy to understand and also contains lots of materials about digital circuit design.

Well written, but like most technical books, you don't wanna just sit down and read it. This book has a fair amount of examples and describes ideas well. Beware: The Quartus II software is Windows only.
