My baby started eating foods at 5 months and I started using the brushes then. There is are two different textures and I'm assuming one is for gums and other maybe for teeth. We don't have teeth coming in yet but use it every night. **Q: Are these dishwasher safe?** A: I haven't put them in the dishwasher but I have sterilized them in his steam bottle warmer so I'd say they could survive the dishwasher **Q: Does this work for a newborns milk tongue?** A: I’m sure it’ll help.
