Since finding the CAMBOFOTO 70” 2 in 1 Tripod / Monopod I don’t have to make that choice any more.I really was not expecting a lot from this tripod / monopod when I ordered as most multi-function products usually have compromises. However, the CAMBFOTO Tripod / Monopod turned out to be a lot nicer than I expected.Starting with the carrying case, it is your standard tripod case with carrying strap. I do like that the case material is made from a water resistant material, which I assume to be polyester. I like this slick material not for being waterproof but because it is less prone to picking up dirt and is easier to wipe down and keep clean than a canvas case.The tripod itself extends and opens very easily with 3 flip-locks that allow the height adjustment of the 3 4-section legs. The anodized aluminum legs are lightweight, but substantial enough so that collapsing or bending is not an concern. There are rubber cup-like feet on the bottom to help keep the tripod steady and prevents the tripod from marring delicate surfaces such as my wood floors.The upper section of the legs have foam covers on all three sections that make handling the tripod a lot nicer. There is also a built in carrying handle and a level bubble for keeping things… level. In addition, on the bottom post section there is a hook to use for adding more stability by either using a weight bag or a securing strap. This hook also comes in handy for hanging the tripod case.The top tripod post can be safely raised another foot or so and locks in place using a knurled knob. I like that the post has markings showing the highest level that the post should be raised.The tripod head tilts vertically 90 degrees and is locked in place again with a knurled knob. It also rotates freely 360Β°. The camera mount is your standard quick release plate with 1/4" screw. This plate is on a hinge and can be allowing you to quickly go from a landscape shot to a vertical shot without removing the camera.Note: The tripod head moves freely and can be used with a video camera to capture moving scenes, but I feel this tripod is best used for still photography and video.Finally to the monopod feature. I was getting ready to read the manual to figure how to disassemble the tripod to use it as a monopod when I discovered that with the locking knob loosened the center post simply lifted out of the top of the tripod mount. Sweet!The monopod has 5 sections with 4 legs that can be easily adjusted and locked in place by slightly twisting each section to lock it in place. I find this twist lock method much faster and easier to use than standard flip-locks. The monopod can be adjusted from 20” all the way to 65” making for one long selfie stick!So far I really like this CAMBFOTO Tripod / Monopod and it has become my go-to camera mount when travelling. I have just started using the CAMBFOTO and if I experience any issues I’ll update this review. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ tripod is so nice *by S***H on February 6, 2018* The media could not be loaded. This tripod is so nice, it adjusts to really tall, taller than I usually need which I am able to get more angle when I taking photos. Also, it can become a monopod just by loosing one screw in the middle. This is my second tripod, and I am planing to use it while traveling, and I can easily carry it with the handle. They provide a bag too, but for me maybe just use it when it gets dirty and put it inside or else there is no need to put into the bag.Quality is really good, the material is perfect. The Weight is little on the heavier side, but it is a tall tripod.
