## Description

desertcart.com: Weldon Flavorings, Peach Unsweetened Tea/Water Flavoring (Includes Pump) : Grocery & Gourmet Food

Review: Don't buy this peach flavoring if you're expecting peach flavor - Short review: Very little peach flavor even at 8x recommended pumps per beverage. If you're hoping for Snapple Peach Tea flavor, definitely move on. If you're hoping for any peach flavor, move on. There is nothing to see here. Details: Very conflicted with this flavoring. I started with plain water in a 16.9 oz bottle. Four pumps of flavoring as per directions. Cap, shake, and taste. Nothing but a slight smell of very natural fresh peach, virtually no taste. Check directions again. Yep, I followed them. Two more pumps in same bottle. Cap, shake, and taste. Nothing but a slightly stronger smell of peach. Two more pumps, determined to find some peach flavor here. Very subtle flavor of something that tastes more like grape than peach. Pass it to 3 other family members. All can smell peach but taste nothing. Think maybe it needs sweetener, so put in a packet of Sweet-n-Low. Nothing but sweet water with very faint taste of grape and delicious smell of peach. Now down to 8 oz in bottle. Add four more pumps, tastes like a Lipton Fresh tea - you know the one, tastes like you mixed some watered down ice tea with some watered down unidentified fruit juice. YUCK! So maybe something is wrong with the flavoring. I decide to taste it undiluted. Dab on my finger, put it on the tongue, recoil in fear. Tastes strongly like peach mixed with gasoline. Okay, maybe rubbing alcohol. Disgusted, figure I will try it in some iced tea with sugar instead of artificial sweetener. Plus I need time to get the horrible aftertaste of the uncut flavoring out of my mouth. I make a half-gallon, add sugar (1/2 cup). Reserve a few oz for comparison. Calculate flavoring per directions on bottle, calls for 16 pumps. Stir and taste, nothing, not even smell of peach. Add 8 more pumps. Slightly more smell of peach. We can all tell something is in there but no clue what it is. Add 8 more pumps, now up to double recommended amount. Still can't taste much of a difference between plain sweet tea but can definitely smell delicious fresh peach fragrance. I'm determined to get some peach flavor out of this, add 16 more pumps. Now at 3x recommended flavoring. Still no discernible peach flavor although it smells great. Add 16 more pumps. Same result. Okay, started getting a little scared wondering what type of chemical is in this flavoring, because I have added a lot. For the record, I have put in 32 ml in a half-gallon, although bottle claims only 8 ml are needed. Still, I decide to go for it because I am doggedly trying to make it taste as good as it smells. Put in 32 ml more. Literally 128 total pumps in a half-gallon of sweet tea vs. instructions on bottle saying only 16 pumps needed. Yes, half of the 4 oz bottle of flavoring is in my insulated 1/2 gallon mug of tea. At this point, I can taste peach, but it is about like mixing 1/3 Snapple Peach Tea to 2/3 regular tea. For those keeping score, this flavoring is $15 with shipping. I have added $7.50 of flavoring to a half-gallon of tea and still less concentrated peach flavor than a very diluted Snapple. If anyone knows of a peach flavoring that actually makes ice tea taste strongly of peach, please let me know. Have tried about every syrup and flavoring out there, yet to find one that tastes as peachy as Snapple.
Review: Helped me convert from sodas to iced tea. - A little pricey, but I use 10 squirts per gallon of sweet tea that I make, so it goes pretty far for me. Very tasty and authentic, without a weird aftertaste. Even better that it has no negative nutritional value.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Not Very Concentrated Flavor
*by F***A on July 24, 2021*

Was looking forward to using in a 1/2 Gal of Ice Tea. Would need 1/2 the bottle to make the flavor. This could get expensive. Seems a difficult task to make a pitcher of southern iced peach tea without using chemicals. I've tried stewing real peaches in the brew and that takes several peaches. Unless you have your own tree's..... Peach Tea can be elusive. Publix ifs too sweet....
