The tarp does a great job of keeping you dry in a downpour. Keep in mind it is a lightweight tarp and needs to be treated as such. **Q: I’m looking for good UV protection and shade from the hot sun to go over my camper. How would this do for those purposes?** A: This will work well to block the sun. Make sure the tarp is slightly larger than your camper roof. The only downside I see is the sun will eventually degrade the tarp. This will happen to any tarp or covering you use.
