Well, I finally opened the package today to use it for the first time. While I liked the feel and texture of the natural sea sponge, I noticed that there was a split in the sponge that went all the way through to the other side. This will result in a significant portion of the sponge becoming loose and falling off from the main body of the sponge. I contacted the company over a week ago and they have never responded. Based upon the very poor customer service, I would NOT buy this product again. The original sponge that I got is now about 4-5 months old and still looks like new. It's BY FAR the best sponge I have ever used!! The new one looks just as good but I'm not using it yet...I got it for when I will replace the original one. I have tried other sponges but they were too hard (even when wet) or did not lather well or fell apart easily, etc. This one is perfect! I don't do anything special to take care of it.
