The right construction
We have had down comforters since we got married 46 years ago. We originally bought twin comforters, one for each of us to prevent the cover hog syndrome, best idea ever. The last set we had used a tube type construction and the down would migrate to one end or the other. This one uses box baffle construction which keeps the down in about a 15" square and it has baffles between the top sheet and bottom sheet so that the down is as thick near the edges as it is in the center with no sewn-through seams which leave cold spots. It is a totally logical method of construction which keeps the down where it should be and not all at the top or bottom of the comforter. I had heard of this method and I am glad that I looked hard enough to find these. Also the 1200 thread count should be dense enough to contain the down which our old comforters did not. Once a month or so, I'd get a piece of down in my eye and it would take until noon to work its way out--very irritating. Hopefully these new comforters will hold all the down where it ought to be and keep any from escaping and finding its way under my eyelid. So far, so good. Comforters are very lightweight but have a high fill power rating.

Deeper sleep!
I had no idea that a feather comforter could make me feel so relaxed! I had been using a heavy denim comforter for cooler nights, but it was so heavy that I had trouble lifting it to get in and out of the bed. I decided to try this feather comforter and I'm glad I did! I couldn't believe how warm it was because it's lightweight, but it was also breathable. It's like there are no hot or cold spots as I'm uniformly comfortable through the night. It's warmer than my heavy denim comforter so I'm back to wearing spring and summer pajamas so that I don't overheat. I bought a 100% cotton flannel 'Blackwatch' plaid duvet from Amazon and put this comforter inside of it. The stitching on the comforter is excellent and I've not seen any feathers come out. Yes, the comforter outer material is a little noisy, but I don't really notice it throughout the night. The problem is that now I am OVERSLEEPING because I am so snug as a bug in a rug!!!

It's wonderful
I'm living in a warm southern climate now, but having been born and raised all my life in a northern climate I know what bitterly cold nights are. This lighter weight comforter is perfect here for the milder but still cold winter nights. I actually worked late last night, slept in this morning. The postman brought the comforter, I opened it and fluffed it a bit, laid it on the bed and went back to sleep. I was nice and warm right away, it didnt even need time to fluff up to be warm and comfy. It's not a very crackly crunchy noisy fabric. It has no strange smell to it. It comes rolled up tight, vacuum sealed to fit in a small shipping box, but open it up and fluff it out, after a couple hours it's perfect. It's like sleeping under a warm soft, fluffy cloud. Flannel sheets, one old lightweight polyester comforter (because I like the color pattern), this down comforter with a duvet cover = the perfect sleep experience. Yes, do buy it.I also bought a twin size comforter and twin size duvet cover to go on a double bed. Measure carefully to get what you want. This was perfect for me, as I didn't want to spend more money for more comforter that spilled over the edge of the bed and not used. I want most of the comforter on top of the bed where I'm sleeping, not extra draped all down the sides.

The sizes are off
Compare your comforter's or duvet's size against the duvet cover's size before you buy.I bought a twin duvet cover, knowing that the published size was 90"L x 68"W. Little did I know that I should have checked my duvet size to see if they matched...they did not. My twin duvet is 86"L x 68"W, so I have four inches of duvet cover flopping around the bottom. I suppose I will just tuck it in along with the unused duvet.

Well made!
This comforter is very nice for the price! It says not to wash it, though. I do not want to take it to the dry cleaners, so I'm wondering if I really can wash it. For now, I'll just keep washing the cover I bought and hope the comforter wont need to be washed too often! It is very nice and I cannot feel any quills. It's pretty heavy! My son sleeps on top of it in the summer because it's too hot, but we do live in Texas!

Uneven down distribution on some baffle boxes :(
Purchased due to the great reviews but as much as I wanted to love this product, I just got one that had uneven down distribution in baffle boxes. One row seemed to have very little down, the squares in that row was less than half full. I tried for two days to fluff and shake, but a few boxes just didn’t have enough down like the others, they were less than half full (See pics). So as much as I wanted to keep, I has to return since several squares were just flat while others were super fluffy. So sad...

Crinkly sounding and smells like a dirty duck!
I have had this airing out for about 2 months now. I have also tried washing it. It smells bad and is loud--makes the same sound as when I am walking around in snow pants.

This high quality down comforter is great.
The 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton keeps the down inside unlike looser weaves. I shop for down comforters a lot and when I saw this quality at a great price, I had to buy it. I wanted twin size because it seems to me that when a full or queen is on the bed, they hang over the edge, which is normal, but the down shifts to the sides and corners. The center loses fluff and warmth because the boxes get low fill or even empty. I wanted to try a twin so this wouldn't happen and it is working for me.
