Note the position of the on/off switch before you open the case.2. Remove the battery.3. Remove the 6 small screws and GENTLY pull the front and back of the case apart.4. Remove the speaker from it's "cup"; taking care not to let the speaker fall out (which could pull it's connecting wires loose).5. Coat the inside of the speaker "cup" or the outside of the speaker itself with silicone sealant or other adhesive,6. Insert the speaker back into the cup.7. Position the on/off switch correctly as you bring the two halves of the case together.8. Screw the case together.9. The temperature is easy to read. The on/off initiated by the probe hinge is not particularly reliable, but it doesn't matter too much as the on/off button works fine. The temperature reading is a bit slow to settle; I'd guess it takes 10 seconds or so, but that's OK for my purposes.
