**Q: Does anyone know what the bolt pattern is for the square pad? (center hole to center hole on the short side and long side)**
A: I would recommend you ask the seller.

**Q: Will this work with an 8th in. rope ?  Will it work with  2- 8th in. ropes ?**
A: Doubtful.  1/8" would be pushing the tolerance/precision of this item.I'm using 1/4" cord and it it feels a little too small to me.The cord behaves a lot like dental floss and the cleat like teeth.  I think 1/8 inch cord is too fine and when pulled tight it could slip behind the cleat rather than being caught by it.  As for two 1/8 inch cords- that seems like it would really be asking for trouble--both of the cords might slip behind the cleat when you try to tighten them. Might work if you could devise a guide to keep the cord exactly centered on the cleat however-you would need two guides actually, one above and one below so you always pulled precisely.  Or look for a smaller cleat!

**Q: What's the difference between the 260-s & 261-s?**
A: The 260-s has a line fair lead. The metal loop guides the line to the jaws of the clete.
The 261-s does not have the fair lead.

**Q: what size line works good in it?**
A: I think any thing from 1/4 to 1/2 inch line would work well.  I think I was using 3/8 and it worked very well with the cleat.
