Please read. *by J***I on Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2017* Went on a 5 day strong antibiotic and it made me constipated because it killed off all of my good gut bacteria. Thought to then counter the adverse effects of the antibiotic with a good probiotic so I went on Amazon and this CaptainBiotics had the best reviews. I started taking 1 a day for a week and there was no change. Then went to 2 a day with no change. Then 3 a day and still no change. Simply stated, this product did NOTHING for me.What did work? And what I should've done from the beginning......is to ingest probiotics through natural food sources. So I went to the supermarket and bought a bag of cold "barrel cured" sauerkraut, which is loaded with really good probiotics. I started eating a medium portion of cold or room temperature sauerkraut (do not heat it or it will kill the probiotics) every day and within the first few days my stomach started making normal stomach sounds again and within a week I was regular again. I later then also started drinking GT's raw kombucha and eating yogurt. I now just drink the kombucha pretty regularly and REALLY believe in it for a lot of reasons besides it's digestive benefits.So my advise is to forget the thousands of companies out there that are supposedly selling live cultures of probiotics in a capsule form and instead choose REAL foods to obtain your probiotics.
