It's a great idea to study with a 3D object, not just pictures and Mr. Thrifty makes it possible to do so in the comfort of your own home.Comes with a stand so he can "stand" up. I keep mine in a safe spot, but is pretty sturdy, as long as you don't try to break it. Withheld movement for osteokinematixs as well. Fingers, toes, ribs and hips are amazingly detailed, but metacarpals and metatarpals are just stamped in. Wrists, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles move rather freely for closer examination. It feels sturdier than expected, after reading all the other reviews although I wouldnt necessarily take it to Martial Arts practice. Face and general skull were fit fine on mine. It was taller than I expected too, although I expected him to be hanging by the head, whereas he is actually sitting up on a pole, which is actually better. Pelvic, vertebral and rib bones and cartlage represent a model that would definitely be helpful to any anatomy student. I bought it, along with several laminated anatomical "cheat sheets" for my 15 yo daughter who I would love to inspire.
