The correct minimum width cutout size is 29.15” (not 28.38”). I had to buy a grinder & granite blade to widen my existing cutout (and you would not believe the dust/mess that covered every surface of my entire home! Clean-up was HUGE, so be sure to close off the area if you have to trim granite). 2. The ad says that any kind of pans can be used but the owners manual says to avoid curved bottom pans. 3. On on cooktop I saw a review that said the burners could be turned on too easily, but this one you have to press & hold the unlock button for a few seconds before it will unlock & allow a burner to be turned on. 4. The burners heat up quickly, but pasta doesn’t seem to cook as quickly as my previous electric coil cooktop. 5. The “hot” warning stays on way beyond the actual time it takes to cool, which is a little annoying. 6. I thought cleaning would be easy, but when a bit of food was dropped on a hot burner, cleaning spray wasn’t enough, I had to use a razor blade scraper to get it off completely! 7. It does look nicer than my old cooktop & with the exception of widening the cutout, installation was easy without experience or help.
