A: I got it for $155 (pre tax) on amazon on sale with a promotion. Be patient.

A: Makita couple shaft yes that is what I have

**Q: What is the difference between this pole saw (ey402mp) and the ey401mp?**
A: 401 is the first model and it had an issue with the chain tightener

A: It’s not 6”, it is 10”.  The 6” I have is a Milwaukee 12v chainsaw mini.

A well made tool as has been my experience with all things Makita. I use this with the Makita 40v power head and Makita extension pole for trimming back trees on my property line. Went with Makita to standardize with my other Makita tools. I have three 4-amp batteries so I always have a fresh one waiting. Only takes 30 minutes for a full charge. Just let the saw do the work, keep the unit as vertical as possible while cutting and maintain a sharp edge on the chain. This will reduce fatigue and make the job go much faster. You might actually have fun using it, I do. Don’t let run out of oil and clean the unit thoroughly and sharpen the chain after use.
