Wish it were shinier.Will this damage? Or do the job I am looking for?** A: This paint is made for plastics. I do not see why it would do anything else but add a little shine. **Q: Can this be used on clean polycarbonate headlight lenses?** A: Yes, but I'm not sure how well it would hold up to the heat from a headlight. **Q: Is this fuel proof enough to use to clear coat a motorcycle tank?** A: I would think if you applied it properly and let paint dry before adding a good automotive clear coat you shouldn't have to worry much. but if you don't spill gas or overfill the tank when adding then you would never have to worry about it. If you do make a mess clean it quick just like any other painted tank and should be ok. **Q: Does this product affect the look of the hologram paint?** A: It can depending on how you are using it and how it is applied. If you are using it for the RC car shells you will not need clear coat. However I have used this paint for several projects as a top finish on items applied to the outside of the item. If you let the backer coat dry before painting this paint and let this paint dry before painting clear it will give you the results your probably looking for. If you apply the backer paint then the hologram paint before the backer paint dries it will give you a different result. AND if you paint the clear on top of the hologram paint it will give you another look all together. When the paints are still wet they will blend in with each other providing different results. I suggest you experiment a few different ways on a small piece of scrap and compare the results and decide which finish you would prefer. Aslo --- different backer paint colors will give different results as well but I suggest you stay with a dark color for a backer. If I knew how to add pics I would so you could see the difference.
