I have bought numerous 18650 rechargeable batteries and they will lose power over time when the flashlight has not been used. I have switched all of my flashlights to CR123A 3V Lithium batteries. Two of these batteries are equivalent to one 18650. I purchased the Streamlight batteries on Amazon (approximately $2/battery) and cannot be more pleased. These batteries have a 10 year shelf life and do not lose power when not in use. I would rather pay a few dollars more and go with the non-rechargeable batteries and know that my flashlights will always work when needed. **Q: Do you have to cycle through many choices to turn this off or is this just an off/on flashlight?** A: Mine work both ways.
