I did not have enough batteries for the test run. My little loco ran great. High speed was way faster than scale, so even my 500mA power brick was enough. The Power Brick had a 5.5x2.1 Barrel connector. Many people may have one laying around. Mine came from a old router. The unit also has 2 switches to power Track switching.
