If I go off the boat, I can take the device with me and still have communication. It really works well: no slowdown and just does its job. Several coworkers recommended the att device with 100GB for $55/mo, but that was more than I need for more than I wanted to pay. When I found the GlocalMe me that promised 1.1 GB international and 8 GB for North America free with purchase, I thought that's all I need. Well today I received the device and set it up, and discovered the 1.1 GB is only good for 5 years and the 8 GB is only good for 90 days. I was very disappointed and went back to check the fine print in the Amazon listing. It doesn't mention any limit on International, but it does say the 8 GB North American plan is only good for 30 days, so I got more than the listing mentioned, but less than I expected. It does have two sim card slots, so I can still use at&t or another carrier with it.
