The replacement arrived Saturday and I am very happy with it (and the fine service I received).  My husband has used it several times as he sat at the table talking with me--an interesting surprise!  And my grown daughter was in town over the weekend and saw it and enjoyed it very much!  She thought if she had had this board as a child it would have helped her to feel much more successful with drawing and pretty writing!
