It took less then 3 minutes for the 7 year old to put them together and is easy to break down and take with you to use as a "kids table" when you visit friends and family that are constantly surprised that if they put a crystal gravy bowl near the toddler that sucker is going down. One chair broke within the first month of purchase. I purchased this set for my twin 1 1/2 year old grandsons. They are able to turn them over and throw them around.
