It went together smoothly, in about 15 minutes, without the need of directions that so often confuse more than they enlighten. The frame stands free of the toilet, so does not interfere with accessories like bidets, but has two pads that snug up to the toilet so that the frame doesn’t wiggle or shift when one is getting on or off. The frame remains steady even if you put your weight totally on one arm, not both. One comment complains that the frame shifted and actually cracked a toilet. I cannot understand how this could happen if the frame is installed correctly. One caution: I have had this frame a short time. If my initial enthusiasm for the product should change, I will update this review. One recommendation: The bolts that tighten the pads to the toilet are made of plastic. For a few cents more the manufacturers could make the bolts from steel.
