I just use the two elongated "notches" on each side of the base, since my resistance tubes have carabiners on the ends. Fitting the tube under the base, with each end coming through each of the 2 notches, allows me to use use individual handles on each end of the tribe, or attach my fixed bar (like presses). Much more awkward just using a bench, but works in a pinch. **Q: Can an 85 cm Fitness ball be used with this base?** A: I wouldn’t recommend it. Mine never stayed on and it constantly slipped around. **Q: is the one piece the ball only? not the stand? Why is 4 pieces cheaper than 1 piece?** A: The one piece is the stand only,, and the ball is NOT included.
