I had gotten into liquid lipstick because of the staying power and I prefer a matte look. Unfortunately most end up drying out your lips, making them look very wrinkled, wearing off oddly, oxidizing and darkening when you put them on. Thankfully I still had my Revlon lipstick. It does go on sheer. That means you can control how intense or natural it looks. It can look like a flush of color and very subtle or you can layer it on. Your lips look a little shiny at first but it eventually dries matte and stays on a while. I threw out my liquid lipsticks and I'm now collecting these. The picture is of Finale. The original one I bought is Couture. They are very similar. I would say Finale is a touch more red and Couture is a touch more pink. I also tried Iconic and it is almost my natural lip color. Unfortunately it has a shimmer to it.
