## Description

The Swanson Tools Speed Square is an American, triangular-shaped, carpenters' layout out tool which combines some of the most common functions of a try square and framing square into one. It is used to make basic measurements and mark lines on dimensional lumber and may be used as a saw guide for making short 45 and 90 degree cuts. The Speed Square is 5 tools in 1. Try Square, Miter Square, Saw Guide, Line Scriber and Protractor. This kit comes with the S0101 7-inch and the T0108 Big 12-inch Speed Square. Includes 44-page Swanson Blue Book. Made in the USA.

**Q: What does it mean by "without layout bar"?**
A: Great question!  
At Swanson, we feel strongly that each product description needs to be specific, so you receive exactly the tool you are expecting.
This bundle item, which is model # SW1201K, includes our classic 7" square (the S0101) and the 12" Big Square (the S0107).  However, if you look up the S0107 by itself on Amazon, you'll see it traditionally ships with a layout bar which is an essential component that you would use when working with out-of-square corners and/or creating stair stringers.
We just want to make sure you know that you're still receiving the Big 12" - but for model # SW1201K, the Big 12 does not include the layout bar.

**Q: Couldn't understand why the 7"+12"combo is more expensive?**
A: I dont know of the price issue, but i suggest you to purchase 12" square only with a layout Bar as off-set measurements can be best and easily assessed with the later attachment.

**Q: Why so long for them to be shipped???**
A: Took mine 2-3 days give or take but I had prime

**Q: is there a metric version?**
A: Great question!  We do offer a 25 cm Metric Square with 2 different blue books, and Amazon carries it in both styles.  Model # NA202 is the 25 cm Speed Square that comes with a Blue Book of instructions in English and Spanish. Model # EU202  is the 25 cm Speed Square that comes with a Blue Book of instructions in English, German and French.

These Swanson Speed Squares are great in their build quality, clear markings and for accuracy. They price (INR 5000) is a bit expensive in the Indian market but they make up for that in the reliability and convenience.
