I drag race with my 1/8 scale GT. I am geared pretty high on my Kyosho Inferno GT with a Tekin T8 motor and it helps keep the temps at bay so long you don't do many back to back runs. I would space the runs at least 2 minutes in between and continue monitoring your temps (again this is depending on how high your geared, ventilation entering your car, how hot the road is and how hot it is on that particular day. Results may vary. Most of my runs were on days that were between 85 - 95 degrees F.). If you are geared moderately to low then you can go as much as you want I guess (if your drag racing because if you are racing on the circuit track, again results will vary as I don't race in circuit tracks or off-road). Battery consumption with this is unnoticeable to me because I am still averaging the same run times on a full pack.
