You have no idea how excited I was that I was getting these delivered to my door. What an utter disappointment to be sure! Who makes shoes that are impossible to wear? They would be great shoes if only the people who made them had any idea about the anatomy of the human foot. I don't know if they were made in Japan; if they are, I can't even begin to fathom. Anyway, I have normal sized feet and every size 8.5 shoe I have bought from amazon has fit;no worries. I wasn't sure what size these were, but shortly after buying I found through research online that geta sandals are ideal to wear with some of the heel hanging off the back(strange I know). The strap is very comfortable and holds the sole against your foot instead of letting it flop up and hit your heel. There is foam on the bottom of the teeth so they are quiet and non-slip.I was able to wear these for hours very comfortably.
