Great to have on hand to test repaired projects. These adapters do work when our techs have to trouble shoot older unis that used Firewire. Try to mate a USB to Firewire without them! I wish the industry would settle on ONE cord (hint HDMI) and not Firewire, SATA, not USB 1, 2, 3, C or Z (I know there's no Z!). Not only that, but these connectors (USB, HDMI, etc.) should 'click' into place (like the Ethernet connectors - but, with a connector that doesn't invole the hands of a surgeon to insert eight wires into eight tiny slots. We need to go back o the K.I.S.S. method (Keep It Simple Stupid).
