Review: Perfect for your beginner swimmer - We bought this for our 14 month old, who has not spent anytime in the water. As soon as we put her in the lake the life vest put her right on her back and there she floated safely. She didn't care for floating on her back as she wanted to see what everyone was doing but it did its job. We took her out on the water 2 other times and she loved it. My daughter weighs 14 lbs and is small for her age. We were able to tighten the vest to fit snug and give her support. The vest did come up a little high when she sat down on the paddle board, and so we pulled it down the best we could. Someone a little taller would fit a little better, but its not made for sitting its for floating. It made us feel confident to have her on the water with us knowing the vest worked. We recommend these vest to help keep your little one safe on the water.

**Q: Amazon is offering "small" or "large". Both state "This life jacket fits infants weighing less than 30 pounds" What is the difference?**
A: I'm not really sure why they have put sizing in the options because the life jacket that I purchased just says infant inside and up to 30 lbs. I will say that I bought the small because I was buying for my 4 month old that weighs 13 lbs but upon reading your question thought I would try on my 25 lb 2 year old and it also fits her. Hope this helps.

**Q: Is this life jacket u.s. coats guard approved?**
A: Yes!  It sure is!  Wouldn't have purchased it if it wasn't Coast Guard approved.  In fact, if your life vests are not approved by the Coast Guard, they can ticket you!  I'd rather be safe than sorry with a great life vest for an infant.

**Q: What size fits one?**
A: You choose the size based on weight, not age. If your child is under 30 lbs, you would choose the infant size.

**Q: Would this work for a 22 pounder? And should I just disregard the sizes?**
A: I used it for my daughter who was about 22 pounds for a boat trip.  This brand of infant vest is one size that fits infants under 30 lbs. I think the sizing is a mistake on the seller and can be disregarded.

I was a little nervous about getting this life jacket because my son is always super tall and he is 20 months old. He’s right at 28 pounds. I was worried I might need to size up since the weight limit is 30 pounds. Sorry my picture is a little blurry, but he was trying to take it off when I put it on him. It fits him perfect. We should be able to get. I would say at least the rest of the summer with this vest. I feel like the price point is acceptable for being a Coast Guard approved jacket. I did not even have to adjust the strap and it could be loosened by like three more inches also if needed.
