The base only moves a little if I hit hard, but after a few rounds, the stretchy rope would come off and I would have to retie it, even with a double knot. When I first started using it, I was ready to return the product. After 3 hits, the ball will go crazy. It will either start bouncing too high, too low, or short. Basically, if I don't hit straight, it returns really awkwardly because the string has a maximum distance. If I don't hit the sweet spot the ball goes crazy. The harder you hit, the faster the return. With this product, I cannot hit low, only high; which is not really good when I go back to the courts because I can imagine it will fly out of the court. However, this product really trains my reflexes and helps work out a sweat. I filled the container with water and was ready to play in the driveway. It is helpful to practice individually by serving or hitting the ball with power since the ball returns.
