My smoldering wood would die out and not smoke after about an hour.I drilled out the intake holes and BAM great wood chunk smoke. Buy it as is then drill out the diamond holes 1 size bigger. This will allow more air to allow the wood chunks to do their job. It's big enough for 3 wood chunks, yet small enough to fit in most pellet smokers. You will achieve better results than a wood pellet tube. Does it work as is (Not so much), does it work with slightly larger holes (Abso Fn lutly) No regrets on purchase.
