I'm still waiting....My best educated guess is that it's a dark rye flour similar to Bob Red Mill's Whole Dark Rye. The color and taste are similar, but Arrowhead Mills' is not as finely ground as Bob Red Mill's. **Q: To the company: Is this flour unbleached and unbromated?** A: No, not that I am aware of. **Q: Are the bags recyclable?** A: I havn’t Bought this product but have bought oat flour from this company and believe they are recyclable. **Q: Is this 100% stone ground?** A: Probably not since the package doesn't say it is. Most stoneground grains will say it is on the package. I use this rye flour mixed with all-purpose as a feeding medium for my sourdough starter. If you want a stoneground rye flour I would suggest Hodgson Mill as an alternate.
