I had 5 Webelos that did this activity and they drew #'s to see which one they got to build. But I guess the binoculars was the easiest one to do. The one with the hydro lift, the one with the marbles and the levitating part did take bit more time and I did have to give assistance to each of my Webelos boys and girl that were doing them. (9-10 yrs old) But they did have a great time building them and were pleased with what they did. **Q: Considering getting this for a 6 yr old who is obsessed with building and how things work - is he still too young for this?** A: Nope. He should be ok. May need assistance with screwing things in depending on his dexterity but the kits are pretty intuitive **Q: About how long does it take to complete a single project?** A: It depends on the kit. I got this kit for my 9-10 yrs old Webelos Cub Scouts and they completed theirs in 30- 1 hrs time. the longest time was the water lift kit. but they all had fun! **Q: How easily can a non-stem inclined adult assist in putting this together? thinking of this for my nephew but not sure how much help i’m able to provid** A: It’s very simple. I want to keep them off of screens when they're at our house. The eight year old and I constructed a motorized kit last weekend, so today, after school, we made the holographic projector. He's learning to follow instructions and to use care in these builds. Both have turned out beautifully, and he is gaining experience with each.
