These pads are a game changer for us with the hens. We have over 20 hens and these pads make the nesting boxes so clean and comfortable for them. We have noticed a huge improvement overall with the eggs being so much cleaner, and the coop itself being cleaner. They fluff them up, do their egg laying and they are easy to shake out any poo that is there, and last a good long while for us. We used straw before and the girls just did not like it, they always chucked it out onto the floor of the coop. Now the nesting boxes look marvelous and we have very happy layers. Thanks for such a great product.

These are great, my girls (using their tyrannosaurus Rex toes), to fluff up the nest just as they like.

They are better than pine shavings, which get kicked everywhere, but these aren't the thickest or nicest on the market. They are very thin with the excelsior and the hens have dug clear through it and the paper backing in one day, which defeats the padding of laid eggs property immediately. Many of the mats in the stack are stuck together with adhesive, or the paper backing hasn't been fully cut apart. I think after these are gone I'll go back to using, Precision Pet which are thicker and last over two weeks or more.

The nesting pad on the left is one of my existing (I have ordered Magjo and Cackle Hatchery with comparable quality). The right is this brand. I have to admit, I'm super disappointed but then I did buy these because they were cheaper. I was shocked when I pulled them out of the box. They are SO thin. I even tried lightly fluffing them. There's almost nothing there to fluff. I have been using excelsior pads for years now. They just keep our eggs better protected, cleaner and my hens love them! They are costly though. I was thrilled to run up on these for the cost but when I pulled them out of the box, WOW! They are super thin and by the time your hens shape the nest (2nd pic is one of my other brands for those not experienced with excelsior pads), there will no doubt be nothing left on the bottom to protect the egg. I will use them but lesson learned. I can shake off my other ones and reuse until someone sleeps in them or busts an egg in them. These will definitely be a one and done so all in all, NOT cheaper. Will not purchase again!

Fit great. Seem to fluff up great. Best deal I could find on them and will be ordering more.

These pads work great. We cut them in half with the grain of the excelsior and it stretch’s some. Works great in our nests. And they go twice as far.

These slip easily into our nest boxes and can be shaken to clean off for reuse. Our clutch loves to kick all of the bedding out of the next boxes. No longer a problem! Thank you! Great product.

Love these pads - and I love that I can buy them in bulk! I use these in my nest boxes and in my broody boxes - really cuts down on broken eggs. Every month I take them out, shake them, put them back in with a little diatomaceous earth, and throw some pine shavings on top. I don't usually replace the ones in the nest boxes unless an egg breaks or a year has gone by. I replace all of them in February. For broody boxes, I replace after each brood hatches.
