At 72 I think he was just tired of chopping kindling and to be honest, I think the novelty of buying a box of kindling on desertcart tickled him. That and having recently learned how to shop online has turned him into an desertcart fiend, lol. I think he needs a hobby. So ok... The kindling is nice and dry and catches quite easily. It's also all uniformly cut the same length and width and comes neatly packed in a box and is nice kindling. Buying a box of kindling would certainly be nice for someone with a fireplace and a couple of logs to burn on a nice winter's night.
