It snaps on 3 sides and does have the pockets inside to hold ice packs and/or potentially other supplies like a syringe, maybe a small bottle for flush water, etc. It will keep the ice packs on the bag to keep the formula/food cool. I only fill my husband's feed bags max 650 ml (2 cartons of Kate Farms 1.4 standard 11 oz) as he has a j tube and does not bolus and has a 24 hour continuous feed. It is imperative I have a way to keep it cool as summer is teasing in our area. The stitching is nice and even. It has several snaps on 3 sides that fit nicely around the width of these bags.
