We only have a few racks and barbells and just did not have the room for a full deadlift platform. Found these and gave them try. They are a lifesaver. Have had the same set for almost a year now, they get used at least a dozen times per day, and they are still one of the best investments we made. We use them with regular plates, not bumpers, but should be fine for either. They can be moved and setup literally anywhere in the gym that has room, They are easier on the equipment then just our rubber floor and they do deaden the noise a fair amount. I also love that it forces you to do steady, controlled, proper deadlifts by re-centering the bar after each rep instead of letting you get sloppy. Will buy again when these finally wear out. Plus if you drop the bar with lighter weights, it would just bounce off. So be careful.
