This thing would basically be one step up from sleeping on the concrete, but wouldn't last. In the first picture the shiny spots are the foil liner showing through. One swipe of a dogs paw and this thing will be shredded. Don't waste you time buying this and then returning it, because you WILL return it. I don't see how this would ever transfer enough heat to keep an animal warm unless it was on top of another pet bed, couch or bed, which kind of defeats the purpose right? This would never stand up to one wash in the washing machine, let alone multiple washes and an animal scratching around on it to get comfortable.
