The jaw is large enough to hold a triple length of plait in one grip, and the teeth are strong and hold it firmly in place even when I'm jumping up and down during my workouts. So happy I found this. I put it in, and it immediately comes loose. I'm not sure if it's because I have very thick hair--maybe it just can't grip it all and so never really has a chance.
